This project was a lockdown labor of love. I met Gene through the Broadway costume world, where he was an innovative digital printer on high-end fabrics focusing on live entertainment costumes. He has since retired. Robin and I have collaborated on many theatrical productions around the country, with her often designing costumes and me often designing scenery. Robin introduced me to Brenda, who is a brilliant costume maker as well as quilter.
This is based on a watercolor painted from life of my friend Luke.
The quilt is made with a curtain rod hemmed pocket on the back so it can hang on a wall or lay on a queen-sized bed.
